The magnitude of lunatic acts in the Amhara state has already gone beyond a redline limit. Amhara state officials seem to have been enjoying atrocities orchestrated by their bureaucracy, security and intelligence apparatuses against minorities in their region and in the neighborhood as well. They can never blame TPLF or any third party for their folly acts while they could have stopped rampant terror and other forms of violence being committed before their eyes.

Remember attacks waged on Gumz women and children, Qimant natives, Oromos of Wollo, Kerrayou and Dherra. Organized gangs blocked the route from Gonder to Tigray for quite a long time, looted and vandalized properties. There was no corrective action from Amhara authorities.

When G-7-Arbegnoch (current EZEMA), organized a townhall meeting in the city of Bahir Dar, the very seat of the Amhara state, armed gangs marched in the streets in a broad daylight firing bullets, raided meeting hall and hotel of political leaders. They barred the intended meeting. There was no action from the part of the government. Even they didn’t utter a word to denounce the terror.

The violence didn’t stop there. It escalated to the extent of murdering federal and regional officials including president of the state and chief of staff of the defense force. No adequate corrective measure has been taken. Almost all suspects are released while thousands in Oromia who have never participated in such major violence are languishing in jails.
Billions of birr worth construction materials of a business were brunt down, looted and vandalized in north Shewa of the region, no measure was taken.

Just few weeks ago 6 Oromo university students were killed in various Amhara region universities and hundreds injured, tenth of thousands are still agonizing the horror on all campus across the state.

No surprise that 4 mosques turned to ashes in Mota town of the Amhara state yesterday. The same happened over the recent months in Gonder and other areas.

Amhara mouthpiece media outlets and their activists blame TPLF is behind all the violence. Hell with them! TPLF is not a ghost sitting in people’s hearts and minds. Was the mob triumphantly dancing after burning down four mosques in Mota town transported down to Amhara region from Tigray. Are all those dancers babies instigated and exited with the flame flying in the sky? Can one with the tiniest brain in their head celebrate such a stupid act in the open? Witnessing such horde of a dancer after aggression and blatant attack on religious institution is nothing but the manifestation of a climax anarchism and terrorism. No amount of propaganda can cover up the lunacy.

The “redline drawer lady” and other Federal authorities are not responding to the insanity adequately. Imagine how they could have gone crazy if this happened in Oromia. Every rational person should condemn attacks on civil and religious institutions and innocent people in the strongest term possible. Those who are in a position of protecting citizens and correcting misdeeds should discharge their responsibility.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is tough on other regions and people including his constituency (though he has already lost his base) but condones whatever crimes Amhara affiliated organizations perceived or present unleash.

The behaviors being demonstrated in the Amhara region both in actions and words are so dangerous to the empire that the Amhara elites are boasting of to have created and maintained.

I cannot understand what purpose the Amhara organizations (church, government, academies, bureaucracy, media, NGOs and diaspora communities) want to achieve through building hostility with other Ethiopians. It is weird that they failed to discipline their youth and stop violent actions undertaken by hooligans carrying Ethiopia’s three colored flag, which the Orthodox church and Amhara fantasists adorn equally and hold high up in the sky.

Those who condone violence and let it go hysterical will be accountable at the end of the day for the disintegration of the Ethiopian empire.

My sincere call as a citizen to our Muslim faithful is to calm down, demonstrate civility and build strong unity among themselves and with other Ethiopians including ordinary Amhara natives. Shame on killers and attackers religious institutions.
